Mid-August – Sweet

Galas are small to medium-sized, crisp apples with a distinctively thin, yellow-hued skin with blush features.  They have a mild, sweet flavor and are great for snacking, salads, and baking.

Early-Mid September – Sweet-Tart

Macintosh apples are medium-sized with a distinctively sweet-tart flavor.  They are an all-purpose fruit, excellent for snacking, cooking, applesauce, and baked goods.

October – Sweet – Tart

The Cameo has a pleasantly sweet-tart flavor and firm texture. It is colored with a red stripe over a creamy background. Excellent, both cooked and fresh—a wonderful dessert apple.

October – Tart

Medium size. The yellow flesh is firm, fine-grained, crisp, moderately juicy, and sprightly subacid in flavor. Best keeper.

October – Crisp & Tart

Granny Smith apples are crisp, juicy, tart, and light green in color.  They are a great eating and cooking apple and are excellent in salads because the slices do not brown as quickly as other varieties. It also tends to have a harder texture than other green apples.

October – Sweet

Fuji is a newer variety with exceptional sweet flavor. It is becoming a favorite for fresh eating and desserts. Known for holding up well in storage.
